In couples counseling the focus is on the relationship. We explore how each person experiences the relationship and the frequent unresolved tensions and conflicts. Partners are gradually encouraged to share more of themselves with each other in an environment that feels safer than when they talk to each other alone. Together we all work on changing the cycle of interactions.
